👤The lights look great when turned off. When they are turned on, they emit a bright orange color. It is like Halloween in my bathroom. Under the intense orange light, the wall paint in the room looks weird. It is just awful. I have had real Edison bulbs in the past and they emit a soft warm light. I have seen some of the warm-glowing LEDs at Home Depot and Lowe's. When I bought these bulbs, I expected this. I thought that there were settings in the app that would allow the light to be adjusted, butnope. The bulbs are not white. Medium orange is what it would be described as. The orange is very intense. We tried to live with them for a week, but couldn't get used to them. We are sending all the bulbs back and instead of smart bulbs, we are going to use regular dumb bulbs. This is a shame. Our home has aPhillips Hue. The bulbs have an unacceptable color. I don't know what Phillips was thinking when they approved the color of the light bulbs. They could not have picked a worse color.

👤The hub and app are easy to set up. The bulb worked for 45 days before it started to blink uncontrollably. I've tried everything. Resetting the hub is one of the things that can be done. I reinstalled the bulb but forgot to take it off the hub. The video is taken while the bulb is completely disconnected from the world, and is operated on it's own through a lamp that is wired into a wall sockets. There was no smart plug or dimmer. There is a It's great for a party. There is a The seller reached out to assist with the issue, but they abandoned it once they realized I was outside of the return window. There is a This isn't an uncommon issue. Stick with the regular bulbs or use a smart plug with a non hue bulb until they address the failures.

👤I'm a buyer with a dud bulb. I recently got a fixture that would look nice in a filament type bulb, and I have a lot of Hue bulbs in my house. There is a The bulb looked great and it was easy to setup. I started making adjustments in the app to dim the bulb. The bulb began flashing uncontrollably after it had been dimmed. I'm seeing similar complaints about the bulbs online, so it sounds like it's a common problem. Giving the bulb a rest seems to let it recover a bit, but it continues to flash after a few minutes. It's not an issue with the fixture because I've tried it multiple times.

👤My entire home is called Hue. My guest bathroom has a rustic decor and is the only room that I didn't have Hue in. The bulbs I used were not smart. The bulbs were named after the famous American inventor, Hue Edison. Thank goodness. The bulbs look great, and I couldn't be happier. When someone enters my bathroom, the motion sensor in the bathroom turns on. Highly recommended! If you are already using a Hue setup or would like to start, the Edison bulbs are great.

👤I wish I could give it 4.5 stars because it's slightly longer than our candelabra bulbs and sticks out of the lamps in a funny way. If you have a lamp with a slightly bigger shade, this is a 5 star product. I had no idea how much I would like the system when I bought my starter pack of bulbs a few years ago. Slowly, room by room, I've been converting the house. I ordered as soon as the candelabra base bulb was available, even though I've been waiting for years. I wanted to swap them out so I could get some smart dimming into the bedroom. There is a I ordered three bulbs and all of them were connected to the app in a minute. The easiest smart device setup is the Hue bulbs. No changing networks or passwords. You just open the app, tap on Search, and a few moments later they show up. The longest part of the process is figuring out what to call the bulb. Light quality I saw that this was an excellent product when I opened the box. They have a double-diffuser over the LEDs that makes for a very soft and even light coming off of the bulb. It looks great behind a lamp shade. It's a much better quality of light than the other candelabra base bulbs in the house. Bulb shape: The light fixture shade is short, so the bulb sticks out a bit, as it is almost an inch longer than the IKEA one it was replacing. It bugged me at first, but now that I've walked in and out of the room a couple of times, I'm used to it. I don't notice it anymore. I initially thought that it would be a deal breaker, but it turned out to be not a big deal. This might be an important point for some users. If you want to use the warmest and cool settings, the light will be noticeably dimmer than the colors in the middle of the spectrum. I stick to the middle settings and I'm happy with the range of colors and brightness. It really does make a difference to be able to switch to the cooler colors of white during daytime and then the warmer colors at night. There is a The app is available. It's easy to adjust the color, set the timers and group the bulbs together with the app.

👤I have been using a smart lighting solution from a company called thePhilipsHue. The candle has been used since February. The product turned on on an automated schedule and was off a few hours later. Absolutely loved it. It stopped working without warning. I had read that if you didn't violate the warranty, the product would be free. I did not void the warranty. The customer representative claimed that I had used the light in an enclosed unit which voided the warranty. I did not do that. Any light bulb would be in a partially enclosed fixture. There is a According to the report, the company wants you to use all of your light bulbs completely open. I'll be replacing all of my items. Good job, guys. You have lost hundreds of dollars in business by not warrantying a 30 dollar bulb.

👤I had to try the product before I wrote a review. I'm loving my first set of smart bulbs after a few weeks of having it. I have two bulbs at the front door and one in the bedroom. The front door bulb is going to come on when I get home. I like to turn off the bulb in my car in the morning to watch the place get dark. It was very satisfying. It's where my TV room is located so having the option to turn it to a low brightness setting is awesome. The bedroom bulb is where I come up with ideas. The range of colors is good, especially with the preset settings. There is a I like that I can use the app. You can change your color and brightness in the app, but it's easy to turn light on or off with the help of the smart speaker. I didn't think I could get excited over lighting. They are worth trying. There was an update on 10/17. I bought two more bulbs, one for the kitchen and one for the bathroom. I didn't have to leave my bed to turn them off because I fell asleep with them on. The setup in the Magic Home app was not easy, but all went well afterwards. I did not have to reset my bulbs.

👤The light bulbs that I got to light my bedroom are very good. Installation was straight forward, just screw in the light bulb and use the smart home app to connect to your wi-fi network. It took me about 5 minutes to set everything up and download the app. Very nice! There is a You can adjust the temperature of the white light the bulb produces by changing it from a warmer yellow to a colder blue. After flipping the switch, the bulb turns on very fast and remembers and saves the last used lighting configuration. It doesn't take much time to warm up to its full brightness, which is great. I found the smart bulb to be bright, with an output of 750 lumens. They can be used to work during the night. There is a Changing the color of the light bulb is one of the useful features of the smart bulb app called Magic Home Pro. The smart bulb app has more advanced features than other smart bulb apps, such as being able to control the light bulbs together as a group and sync the color to music. It's useful for parties or other types of indoor entertainment. I am impressed by the software. I would highly recommend these smart bulbs to anyone looking to automate their indoor lighting because of how cheap they are and how many features they have.

👤I'm replacing my light bulbs with smart ones. They arrived quickly and were a good price. They are good quality and work with the Magic Home app, which was very convenient. The light bulbs were easy to set up and work with voice commands. If you open the Magic Home app, follow the directions to connect it, and make sure your Google Home app is connected, you're good to go. It is very easy. I don't have an amplification device. I think it would be as easy to use with the voice assistant. Light bulbs can change colors and brightness. If you don't have a smart phone, you can use the app on it to control your devices. I would recommend these light bulbs to anyone who wants to try them out for the first time or who is looking to add more smart bulbs. I am very happy with the purchase.

👤I love these light bulbs, I wish they were cheaper, but I feel like it's almost a quality of life change. On the surface, that sounds silly because they are just light bulbs and you can buy others for less. The wide range you have at your disposal is the reason I feel like I could never get rid of them. When I lay down at night, I like to do a little reading, and I put the bulbs in a scene called "Moonlight", which puts 2 of them at a blueish white and one at a more white with a little blue color and dim it to 30%. I would definitely say that doing this lights my entire bedroom in a moonlight look. It's bright enough to be able to read. The lights are great for our newborn because he enjoys watching the colors cycle and they help him sleep by showing different scenes that are relaxing. When you use the hue sync app for music, you will get a really cool type of ambiance that is really awesome. We have A19s in our living room that are set in different colors throughout the day, on birthdays we will set them in a tone to match the theme, and during holidays we will set them in a tone to match the theme. There is a The better half and I have differing opinions on the voice integration and having to use an app. I was able to use my phone or echo to request a scene or turn them on immediately. It had taken her a while to not accidentally turn the lights off. I had to remove the lights for a couple of days and it was obvious how useful it was. There is a I can't think of anything I would complain about except that they are worth the cost in the end.

👤These things are very expensive. They were one of the few options for use in a small base operation. The white base of the bulbs makes them seem out of place in non-modern applications, and they don't look right in an open sockets application. Basic color preferences can be stated in groups when addressing them through a voice agent with the integration of the two. The Hue application is a mess, and the Hue Labs stuff is interesting, but a train wreck in terms of user experience. I paid for six bulbs, and I expected a more refined experience.

👤I have been using the lights from the company for a long time. I will buy more if I can find an excuse. I enjoy being able to control my lights. Most of the lights in my home are automated. I love being able to turn off the lights at night. We are living in the future and it is awesome.

👤My girls like playing with light bulbs. We don't have a bridge. Even though the function is not as good as it could be, we can change these bulbs to about 20 different colors. They're limited and expensive given our setup. I think their true value is if you can use the app with them, which requires a bridge or something.

👤I have had these lights for over a year. In September of '17, I purchased 2 off Amazon. Our house is completely automated. We have over 200 devices connected to Home Seer, KASA, and other automation features that are related to our pool, garage doors, and other things. Want to know if the product works as intended? The Lifx lights are right. They are a huge disappointment. I can change my pool color on demand, but will my kitchen lights change? They need a firmware upgrade or they are off the internet. The solution is to turn them on and off 5 times and then add them again. No thanks. I have hundreds of other devices and I want a product that works on demand. The lights are not ready for Prime Time and have been a huge disappointment.

👤I bought two of these last night to fit them into my front door and side door lights. My 40th lifx bulb was purchased. Yes, 40. I had a small problem setting these up, but I love these bulbs so much I don't want a star in them. When the hue bulbs first came out, I was an early adopter, and though the issue has now been solved, the early generation of philips hue bulbs were terrible at color reproduction. They abandoned the traditional red/green/blue and went with a more CMY approach to achieve a brighter white light because they couldn't reproduce any true colors. There is a LIFX bulbs seemed really promising, and I backed them before on a project. I pulled out of my support for that project because the creator started answering questions less and less, used computer depictions of bulbs as "prototypes", and I lost faith in it. LIFX was another overblown project. So wrong. I bought 4 LIFX bulbs as a test a few years ago and immediately fell in love, and I replaced all of my living room, kitchen, and sitting room lights with LIFX BR30 bulbs. I ended up buying more of their A19 bulbs to outfit my bedroom light and random floating/floor fixture because I loved it so much. The two minis that I bought last night were not the final ones. They've responded to both the app control and the assistant consistently. People are reviewing that the bulbs aren't working correctly. Maybe you should check out your network. Before I switched my internet provider, I had spotty performance. lifx has been smooth as silk because of its 180mbps+ speed. I set my outdoor lights to fade on at 6PM and off at 8AM to keep my exterior lit. When I'm 100 yards away, I fade my decor fixture on as I get within 100 yards of my home. I instantly create the right atmosphere by setting the living room lights to 80% brightness. I say "hey google, set bedroom lights to warm/incandescent/cool white or sky blue depending on my mood" If someone opens my front door while I'm sleeping, I set the bulb over my bed to blink at max brightness. There are a lot of things that I don't have time to list. LIFX bulbs are an important part of my life. My boyfriend was hesitant to use smart devices because they were too complicated to learn. Voice control is much better than light switches or the app.

👤I finally got a hold of an engineer after almost a month of back and forth. The Engineer helped look and check a number of settings and was able to download aBeta and load it onto the first bulb. I have been stable for a day after completing the remaining updates. I hope they roll out a general update soon, there is a lot of work to be done. Update 1 is an update. After reading a few reviews, I can confirm that if you have a larger home with many Access points, or my home is old and has heavy plaster walls, you should try this. These will not work because I have multiple AP's. If you have the same SSID on multiple AP's, the bulbs won't connect. I set up a single AP with a new SSID and connected my phone and bulb to it as a test and it worked well, however that solution is not a great one. I don't want to set up a separate SSID for every AP and my main one. I'm 0 for 8 on these lights unless I use the work around. 2 got so far to changing their name to the default TP-LINK_Smart Bulb_XXXX that they were unable to connect again after dropping off the network. The other two got to the point where they couldn't be renamed and you would get the "something went wrong" and they couldn't be renamed. The 4 got stuck at that point, but turning two off and on and waiting for them to flash did the trick. They were able to get past that. I'm an hour and 10 minutes in and so far these are pretty much junk compared to the other TP link switches, dimmers, plain, and 3 way, many of the plain switched outlets, and metering surge strips. They work in harmony with their other things and have some basic IFTTT simple scripts. I will have another 10 minutes to ponder at it trying to connect to the network again, after I click another bulb off and on with a second between each power cycle to reset it again. Hopefully this is a bad batches and has some issues. If you send an email, you will only get one response per day, and if you had a faulty product from Amazon, you could return it for a full refund. I'm subtracting a star as these don't even function as light bulbs once they have been knocked out. They blink once per minute. I documented my findings and opened a ticket. I already threw the boxes into recycling because I was so positive about how well my TP link gear worked. I fished them out of the can.

👤These are good for any kind of light that you can put on a schedule. They are used for outdoor lights. The internet is sensitive enough to find our internet connection, but they seem to turn on and off when they're not supposed to. You have to use the phone app to install them. Attaching your phone to the network created by the light bulb is required. It works, but it is weird and slow. If your phone asks you to stop using the internet and use cellular for data, you will not be able to finish installation because it will stop talking to the bulb.

👤These are the best light bulbs I have ever purchased. Just screw them in, and then you can ask for the bulb, not the location. There is an update. These lasted about a week, but wouldn't work withAlexa and couldn't be reconnected. I got a second set that did the same thing after I returned them. This set should be returned for a refund.

👤These lights were installed by me. One of them works. The other 4 are unresponsive. They are fine as regular lightbulbs, but not smart.

👤They refused to connect despite following the instructions in the box, app and support. It is incredibly frustrating.

👤I was initially attracted to the idea that these were made to work through the Amazon service, and that they were not required to have another device. I like no hub required lighting solutions. I was intrigued by the idea that the light bulb could be used as a range extender, enabling simple whole- home installations. Their words are not mine. You will get away with setting up 10 of these bulbs without connection issues because you will be able to re-pair them on a daily basis, and you won't have to keep them on your devices. There is a It's easy to pair them as they were designed to only be used with a compatible device. I know how to add and remove Skynet devices around my home. Simply screw in your bulb, add a device in your app, follow the instructions on the screen, and voil. I tried to add two or three times, but they added successfully. I did this many times. When I added bulb 12 I started to have issues. Every new bulb that I added was unresponsive within the app. I tried giving my voice commands, but nothing happened. I turned off the light switches to the affected lights and waited about a minute before turning them back on. It might be a small glitch. I decided to see if I would have any problems with the bulbs I had already installed. There is a The lights worked well to start the day. I continued to replace the bulbs in the house. I had an issue with the bulbs the day before. At first, it was just one or two lights, but then all the lights became unresponsive. The light switch didn't work anymore. I had to wait one minute and then plug all my devices back in. I was not going to add that to my routine. The point of automation is to make life simpler. I put in my old bulbs. After the connected bulbs were reduced to about 10, they all worked again. I have 4 of the Candelabra bulbs that are still connected and have not had a connection issue in weeks. This product is two-stars because the bulbs themselves are easy to setup and seem to work well with Amazon's devices, but after that they fall short on other claims. The most repeated claim in the listing is that due to their BLE MESH technology, you will be able to install these bulbs throughout the entire home. If your house needed 10 or less of these bulbs, this would be true. I've never been happier using my old wi-fi bulbs again. These bulbs are very limited.

👤I don't write one-start reviews as they seem like too much. These light bulbs are not what they appear to be. The app is terrible. Really, really clumsy. It has to be used in zoom mode on an iPad to make it useful, because it's only designed for the iPhone. The app doesn't have full VoiceOver support. There is a You have to create a "cloud account" to set up the light bulbs. I'm pretty annoyed that I had to create another account just to see how well the bulbs work, and how do I get rid of it. Why? I don't understand why I need an online account. There is a Then there is support for Siri. One would assume that means HomeKit support. Nope. The bulbs don't support HomeKit, but the app can register with it. I can't find out how they do it. Most devices will say "not HomeKit comparable", even though the description didn't point it out. " It's a serious omission if you say you support Siri but don't support HomeKit. There is a For anyone who depends on HomeKit integration, they look better on paper.

👤These are the best box I have ever ordered. I have these in my living room, hallway and bar. I love that I can change the color of each room. There is a It was easy to set up custom themes, such as red white and blue for summer and purple and orange for Halloween. It was easy to set up groups and change lights at the same time, but still have the ability to personalize each bulb. The white and soft white modes are the same as the actual bulb. I can either use a legit room or a fake one. I plan to convert all my rooms.

👤These are great, being used on our front porch. Getting it set up is a bit difficult. It is awesome when you do it. Pick any color and set up your own light pattern. There is a You can tune them on and off from work when you forget to turn the porch light off. There is a The plan is to wear red and green. It is almost Halloween. We have them set to purple, green, purple, orange.

👤Pros and Cons: price and material. The range of colors is possible to achieve. It's misleading and forcing you to use a password that will be stored with your account. In either China or the EU. US laws don't apply there so anyone with access to the server can open you. You can see your password and location. The remote and bluetooth will work. Unless you are okay with that, don't hand over your password. 4. There is a possibility of a hack and spy issue on anyone who uses the internet.

👤Since these were a test, I will buy more of them. They work with an App from the Google Store, which gives dimming options, change to whatever color option you want, and even will gradually rotating 7 colors at whatever speed you tell it. "Hey, turn on the lights", "Hey, turn the lights blue", etc. I haven't tried them with the voice assistant yet. As long as the app is running, they will sync to music.

👤I really like them. I thought I had been ripped off because I couldn't figure out how to change the colors, but the tiny pamphlet made it seem like I had to get a third party app to do it, which pissed me off. The only thing I could do to change its brightness was to group them together. I was going to give a bad review about talse advertising. I fat fingered the bulb icon while messing with the brightness of the bulbs and realized that it was a button. neat. What is this other stuff color? Scene? Music? Why didn't the instructions say it was here? I had fun with colors and modes for the next couple of hours. I couldn't get music to work at all but I am happy with my lights now. I was tempted to give 4 stars due to the not clear instructions but decided to be nice since they do work great and it might be just me.

👤I would have liked to have found a different lighting brand for my home. I have three lighting apps. Not taking away from this one, however, the app download, the tedious singing up for a "use", and the actual pairing each individual light bulb was just a pain in the a$$! The 4 pk requires you to install 1 light bulb at a time to pair with the app, as with my other lighting source. There is a The easy way to set each one to a different light setting was after they werepaired. It is not easy to set up a light scene. There is a I would have done more research before buying. It's just a matter of how quickly I want to use my lighting apps after it's installed. There is a I beg to differ, the app still can't find these light bulbs within my network, even though it says they are compatible with Amazon echo.

👤The lights are great. I tried to connect to the smart home app. It failed despite repeated attempts. Attempted to connect with the lighting app. The first try was connected in seconds. It is easy to control each light. Fantastic! Will purchase more.

👤The lights turn different colors, but they don't seem to be as bright as the Hue lights. Only two of the four lights worked right away when I first installed them. I was able to add the third light to the app after an hour or so. It took two days before the fourth light came on. I switched the bulb to other outlets because of the power that was provided. The last bulb took a while to come to life. If the price was lowered to around $10, I would purchase them again.

👤They give off a nice light and different colors, so I would give it a 5 stars. The instructions were difficult to navigate because the app has been updated and the set up was different from what was printed in the book. It took me and my son a day and a half to get it connected to the internet, set up the app, and finally connect it to the internet. The whole process was not easy to set up because it took 2 apps. One of the four bulbs that I have doesn't connect to the internet unless it's a meter away from the device, which is in my bedroom and the living room. It took us a long time to set it up. The chip that connects the bulb to the internet is not good. There is a It's reasonable for the price. The tedious setting up process could be avoided if you could. You should be willing to gamble on the quality.

Brand: Geeni

👤I want to like them. They look great and feel like good quality bulbs. The shape is perfect and the options like dimming and color adjustment were appealing to me. They will not stay working. After a few days, they turned off. I noticed that they were dim when I turned them on. The app confirmed that they were both at 9% brightness. I reinstalled the bulbs after I reset them. They worked for a while and then started doing the same thing again. I can still control the on/off function via my echo or the app, which means they are still connected to my network. I have already thrown out the packaging so they can't be returned. I plan to buy more but will look at other options because of my experience with these two. There are many options in this price point. I encourage you to think about another bulb.

👤I do tech for a living and these were difficult to setup. I'm guessing your results will vary greatly since they are so cheap. I was just off to the side of the bulb in the initial setup, and nothing worked in it. I held my phone to the side, still nothing. When my phone was directly under it, it detected and setup without any issues. There is a The modes on the lights are different. If you adjust the brightness or warmth levels, they are not as smooth as you would get with the Hue brand. As you adjust the levels via the app, they will jump. There are enough options to find the setting that you want. There is a Overall, they do what they need to for the price. I don't like it. It's better than what I replaced. It is possible that you might want to be careful about what the app is allowed to do. As soon as the app was installed, it started asking for access to things. Some I allowed and some I did not.

👤We replaced some of the light bulbs in our dining area and front sitting room with the Geeni LUX Edison ST21 Edison Wifie bulbs. The ability to adjust the kelvin rating through the Geeni app is what we love about these. I can't say much for the Globe brand version of the lights, but having the extra 300 lumens over the Globe bulbs does help if you have less neighboring lighting in a large space. There are quick notes. I don't recommend using your assistant if you want to change the temperature of the bulbs. In testing with voice commands, the bulb color was changed to "Warm White" and the bulb's name was changed to "Cool White". This won't be an issue for most people since you will be setting it to one temperature for the life of the bulb. It's better to use the Geeni app when setting the initial settings. Setting brightness levels, routines, etc. are all things you can do if you have the time. On your voice assistant. I would love to give this product a 5 if they improved the color change integrations.
